We, here at Bradley Creek Elementary, are ever-so grateful that you provided a workshop for our parents. You teach best-parenting practices in a positive, meaningful, and applicable way. Your teaching style is one that invokes humor, inspires change, and includes personal experience. The parents who attended spoke highly of you and the information you shared. Wilmington is very lucky to have such a valuable and charismatic resource that avails her time and energy to create positive family systems. You are making the world a better place and we thank you for that!

-April Elkins, School Counselor, Bradley CreekWilmington, NC

Honestly, I have had trouble finding a parenting presentation that truly impressed me. Most speakers either reiterate what a book says or fail to connect with their audience. Nancy Kotz engages parents from the beginning and gives practical strategies for creating a calmer environment at home. I don’t know any parent(s) that wouldn’t benefit from her expertise.

-Megan McNamara, M.Ed. Preschool Director, St. Andrews-Covenant Presbyterian

This class gave me such confidence to know that although I will make many mistakes, I can be the parent and spouse I need to be for my children. I am capable of loving and guiding and learning from them and to them. Thanks You!

– C.P.

I really enjoyed learning new ways to parent and also the refreshing of others Validation was the biggest learning area for me and all the steps have helped me bring more peace into parenting.

– S.A.

This class couldn’t have come at a better time for me. It helped me break some bad parenting habits. Our house is now more joyful as I have changed my behavior and been much happier.

– B.B.

You are a great coach and model and I would recommend the class to others. May consider sending daddy to learn.

– S.A.

This class helped me have a more peaceful relationship with my preschool age daughter. The steps take some time to learn, but when applied, are very effective.

– C.W.

You did an amazing job of sharing pertinent information but also allowing a lot of impromptu questions and stories. Loved the class!!!

– A.C.

The parent workshop last week was awesome. Our parents walked away with strategies to help change their patterns with their children. In a little more than an hour the session provided parents insights into helping our children become independent and responsible.

– Torri Bailey, Assistant Principal, Gregory School of Science, Mathematics, and Technology

Nancy Kotz’s presentation was full of useful strategies and practical advice for parents of children young and old. Those in attendance were busily taking notes and were excited to implement her ideas right away. I know her talk made a real difference in many of our families’ lives.

– Linda Blanch, NBCT, School Counselor, Gregory School of Science

I have never heard anyone talk that honestly and clearly about what to expect, and I am well educated!

– A parent Participent

– Anna Mallard LPC, MT-BC, NMT, School Counselor, Cape Fear Center for Inquiry

Amazing techniques that work for all the stressful situations in your parenting, marriage, and life.

– C.H.

I’ve heard amazing things in this class. I learned things that I’ve never even thought of before, and I hope to carry on the awareness, pausing, and carefully choosing my words.

– D.E.

You have beautifully changed my perception of my role as a parent. I see parenting not as a series of “have- to’s” but as a gift. It is an art-it takes practice and patience. Thank you so much!

– M.R.

By using the techniques from this class, I’ve been able to instill more harmony in our household and enjoy the time spent with my children rather than feel constantly at odds with them.

– K.P.

This class has changed the way I parent my child! I’m recognizing that she has the right to have more input rather than just be told what to do. Being more aware and giving myself the “pause” button option is allowing me to parent in a calmer and more loving manner.

– E.T.

The best money ever spent…a small price to pay for bringing me closer to my family.

– A.W.

I am a new mom this afternoon. Handling things so differently!!!! Loved the presentation.

– T.R.

Intuitively, so much made sense and validated many of my own convictions about positive parenting by example with high responsibility. What was particularly helpful about the workshop was the tactical advice with respect to the process to respond in a healthy manner!

– E.P.

Nancy Kotz is wonderful. She provides excellent and practical ideas that can be started right away. Thank you!

– Z.H.

I am so pleased to have the tools to use to effect interpersonal relationships in a positive way both in the home and out! Thank you!

– J.D.

I found Nancy’s parenting seminar to be the most organized I have ever attended; and I have been too many parenting workshops. Her organization – having one concept build on the previous – makes the concepts easily digestible and memorable. She offered simple, realistic strategies to bring peace to the parent-child relationship. Much of her advice covers ideas you may have heard before, but the way she presents her material makes it possible to recall it in times of stress, which is essential. I recommend her highly, no matter how many books you have read!

– S.D.

Nancy is amazing and her seminar gave me solid tools. I left feeling touched, excited and empowered! We are making huge strides with our toddler ever day and my stress level has decreased significantly. Thanks Nancy!

– A.P.

If more parents attended Nancy’s seminars we would have more responsible adults in this world. Wish I would have gone to this seminar twenty years ago.

– S.L.

Profound and practical! The take home value is enormous. Expert guidance that will have an immediate short-term impact on our family and sustainable value into the future. I highly recommend you engage them.

– D.B.

Amazing to have a life again! We LOVE our children and are extremely excited to be able to get along with them. Both in public and in the privacy of our home…Thank you!!

– S.H.

I was completely energized about all the wonderful strategies Nancy Kotz presented at Murrayville’s ‘Family Forum’ night for parents. Nancy provides you with useful tools that can help you a more successful and effective parent, teacher, coach, husband, wife, partner and person! The examples she shared with the group wee clear, practical and applied to every day life. I highly recommend Nancy and everyone at Successful Parenting Institute…especially if you are in search of answers, solutions, peace and harmony.

Nancy Kotz, MSW, LCSW, is a gifted speaker who has an engaging way of presenting parenting information in a clear and thought provoking manor. She recently spoke at our school Parent Night on the topic, “How to get your Child to Listen to You”. I can tell you that all who were fortunate enough to hear the presentation were captivated the entire time. Parent and staff feedback was excellent. I know our school was very pleased!

– Claire McFall, School Social Worker, Sunset Park Elementary School

Nancy’s presentation was excellent – direct and clear enough to be easily absorbed, and detailed enough to speak to the real challenges of parenting. Parents responded with wonderful questions which Nancy graciously answered well beyond her scheduled departure time. I have already passed along some of her advice in a recent parent conference.

– Ethan D. Williamson, Head of School, Friends School of Wilmington

Her workshop makes parents feel at ease, as if they have someone on their side. Nancy uses her own parenting situations to give examples to demonstrate the strategies she recommends. She is very realistic and reasonable. I wholeheartedly endorse her as a professional!

Nancy Kotz takes common sense advice and supplements it with easy ways to help parents remember how to use it. Her presentations are logical, practical, and humorous. She helps parents understand the small steps that must be taken for their children to become increasingly independent and self-sufficient. We were so impressed with her first presentation that we are asking her to do more!

Nancy’s presentation was the best parenting workshop I have ever attended. Her presentation was clear, concise, and personal. The parenting “plan” she presented truly gives participants tools they can immediately apply to their own lives, and they will see positive changes. The thing that struck me the most was the universal application of the strategies she presented. Not only will they “create a peace-filled home,”; these strategies will improve relationships across the board, with partners, co-workers, family, etc.

– Cissie Brooks, School Counselor, Wrightsville Beach Elementary

Just when I was beginning to think that I needed to deepen my search for one more book on parenting and/or classroom behavior management-I attended Freeman’s Parenting Workshop led by Nancy Kotz! Nancy’s energetic presentation was an empowering reminder that I already possess the tools needed to minimize daily conflict(s) with any child or adult. Bradley Creek Elementary parents poured on the positive feedback after Nancy’s parenting seminar this past Tuesday. We are so grateful to have Nancy teach successful strategies to our families. Nancy Kotz helped open all our eyes to what works vs. what doesn’t work. Her 5-step process is applicable, practical, positive-based, and manageable. Nancy uses her own real-life experiences/stories, along with humor, to maintain the attention/connection of all attendees. I would highly recommend her seminar to any school-aged parent or child agency/group. Thanks a million for sharing your time and talent with us, Nancy!

– April Elkins, M.Ed., School Counselor, Bradley Creek Elementary School

Fabulous, was the word most spoken after Nancy’s parenting presentation. From the start Nancy connected with our parents and normalized the daily challenges families face. Her engaging and fun presentation left our parents energized and eager to implement the strategies she taught. After 8 years of offering parenting workshops at Bellamy Elementary, Nancy’s presentation was the most attended leaving our PTA eager to invite her back. It is inspiring to know there are professionals in our area with so much dedication to bringing about change and happiness back in the lives of families.
